Initial general consultation – up to 30 minutes duration $150
This incorporates nail and skin care such as
- Long thickened nails
- Callous (hyperkeratosis)
- Corns (heloma)
- Basic foot health examination (dermatology & neurovascular)
- Medical history and medications
- Basic footwear assessment
Standard general consultation – up to 20 minutes duration $130
As initial general consultation but more as a review or repeated ongoing management
Initial musculoskeletal consultation - up to 40 minutes duration $165
All sports and biomechanical type concerns
- Acute and chronic pain management
- Injuries and rehabilitation
- Regions inclusive of entire lower limb and back
- Movement restrictions
- General range of motion and mechanical testing
- Comprehensive footwear assessment and prescription
- Medical, surgical and injury history including medications
- CAM Boot fitting
Standard musculoskeletal consultation – up to 20 minutes duration $140
Same as initial musculoskeletal consultation for reviewing or management the existing case
Telehealth consultation – up to 20 minutes duration $89
This is typically not a treatment type consultation and is an educational, informative and reassurance type consultation. Please see indications below
- To discuss medical imaging results
- Needing a visual opinion of your foot/ankle for advice whether a face-to- face consultation is necessary such as ingrown toenail, corn or a wound
- To discuss a home management plan previously discussed such as supervising an exercise
- Progress report on how you’re improving or post device fittings beyond 12 months as annual reviews
Long consultation - up to 40 minutes duration $150
This is for all things complex and time consuming such as below
- Significantly difficult nails (long and thick) and callous/corn control
- Extensive wound management
- Merging multiple types of treatments such as general nail and skin + wounds and/or musculoskeletal complaint or various medical devices
- More complex musculoskeletal cases that require the extra time
- Patients who require extra time due to
- Moving slower possibly with walking aids and wheelchairs etc
- Taking longer to remove socks and shoes and position themselves
Full comprehensive diabetes examination (this is added to an initial or long consultation due to the gamma of assessments required) $100 on top of consultation
Includes full comprehensive examination of the below areas using state of the art and evidence-based devices. Please note this is not a treatment
- Medical status discussion inclusive of Hba1c levels, BGL levels, medications, surgeries and allergies
- Advanced neurological assessment
- Advanced vascular assessment
- Dermatological assessment
- Basic biomechanical assessment
- Basic footwear assessment
- A full report provided to the patient and relevant GP if required
- This service is generally required at least once per year and is not expected every consultation unless otherwise indicated
Brief consultation – up to 10 minutes $99
These are short consultations that are only for quick discussions or reviews as well as brief education or reassurance. Note Generally, these consultations do not cover treatment
- Discuss medical imaging results or other results and discuss direction forward
Standard general consultation concession rates – Same as standard general consultation 20 minutes duration $99 for standard concession rates ($89 if loyalty program status achieved)
Treatment that cannot be completed in the podiatry chair such as wheelchair bound patients, a surcharge of $20 on top of relevant consultation rate will be applied due to the difficulty and compromise to the clinician’s working posture
Hand assessment and treatment surcharge (applies to all general consultations) $20 on top of relevant consultation rate
Standard loyalty program consultations rewarded for ongoing standard general consultations for nail and skin care that meet the eligible criteria $99
- Must have what the clinician feels is very simple nail care (ordinary with no complexities in shape/thickness/length)
- Callous is mild and mostly contained to an area minimising the possibility of requiring more time to manage
- No real pain from nail and skin-general quick maintenance
- Patient can physically move, position themselves and remove footwear and socks quickly
- Patient must be ready on time (10 minutes prior to consultation)
- Must have been seen 7 times within 12 months
- Once attained must not have a gap greater than 6 months since last seen
